His love is free for all, with mercy when we fall,
But let us not assume His mercy gives us room
To do just as we will and keep His mercy still.
We know scars on His hands were made, as ransom for us He paid.
When thoughtless words are said, and idle gossip fed
And actions that we take make other's troubles great
Then we should stop and pray, “Lord give me strength today”,
We know scars on His feet were made, as ransom for us He paid.
His grace can cover much and He heals with one touch,
So give us faith that's strong enough to conquer wrong.
And let us wound no one, by words or deeds we've done.
We know scars on His back were made, as ransom for us He paid.
If we are pierced by bars, removal leaves some scars
We want our wounds to heal, with purer hearts revealed
So let us always live, so scars we never give.
We know scars in His side were made, as ransom for us He paid.
