They say I am to blame ‘cause I can’t pay my mortgage claim,

And they’re dropping like flies. . . . . . up on Wall Street.
We bought a house outside of town, paid 4,000 dollars down.
And we paid the mortgage payment every month.
But little did we know, our mortgage paper had been sold,
To someone we did not know. . . . . . up on Wall Street.
Then corporate greed went down, and the factories left town.
I heard the tax cuts they got made their stock price rise.
The Congress mind was swayed, when the lobbyists all paid,
And there was bonuses all around the block. . . . . . up on Wall
Street.
Our home got foreclosed, where we’ll go, Heaven knows.
But I heard there’s money laying in the gutter up on Wall Street.
Who’s to blame for all this mess? Who’s to pay? Take a guess.
But it won’t be the Bankers . . . . . . up on Wall Street.
I hope the blood runs deep, from the doors of Wall Street.
And it ruins some of the lives that ruined mine.
It just goes to show, that the rich get all the dough
And we get blown off somewhere down the line.
I’m just and average Joe but even I got to know,
That’s there’s something smells fishy. . . . . . up on Wall Street.
They say I am to blame ‘cause I can’t pay my mortgage claim,
And they’re dropping like flies. . . . . . up on Wall Street.
Those poor old boys up on Wall Street . . . . . . . .
