The Archenemy Record Company is happy to announce the release of Karacter’s self-titled debut album. Brought to you by the team behind Freezepop and Lifestyle, Karacter takes the ideas behind their “primary projects” one step further back, by exploring their earliest influences — late ‘70’s synthesizer pop. Calling on inspirations like Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder, the electronic works of Eno and Bowie, the earliest works of Human League, Depeche Mode, Simple Minds, and OMD, Karacter harkens back to a time when technology had not yet overshadowed musical and lyrical ideas, and when the artistry of those acts was not hemmed in by concerns of commercial viability.
