Clarence B. Milton (CB Milton) was born in Surinam, but he has lived in The Netherlands since he was six years old. He did not have the money for a proper musical education, so he was forced to teach himself the difficult profession of a musician. The prizes CB Milton regularly won at talent competitions encouraged him to go on, and finally he had enough self-confidence to make a definitive move into a musical career.He learned the tricks of the trade working with the group Swinging Soul Machine, and became the youngest lead singer that the group had ever known in its twenty-five years of existence.
