Ozzy Osbourne is one of the world’s most famous names. If you ask anyone about Ozzy, there is no doubt that the vast majority would know exactly who you mean. He rose to fame as the lead of Black Sabbath, where he managed to be labelled with the nickname "Prince of Darkness", but after being thrown out of the band, he arguably achieved the greatest amount of success he ever had.

Ozzy’s Top 5 Solo Albums
He released a number of albums, with many of them going on to achieve global success. However, with so many, what are his five best albums as a solo artist?

1. Blizzard of Ozz (1980)
2. Diary of a Madman (1981)
3. No More Tears (1991)
4. The Ultimate Sin (1986)
5. No Rest for the Wicked (1988)

‘Blizzard of Ozz’ has to be considered Ozzy’s best solo album. It was his debut album after being ousted from Black Sabbath, and it helped to define heavy metal for the entire 80s. It featured a number of great anthems, including "Crazy Train", "Suicide Solution", and "Mr. Crowley", thus making it his best album everywhere.

‘Diary of a Madman’ followed up his best album, and it could be argued to be his second greatest, too. It provided us with a number of incredible songs, including ‘S.A.T.O’ which perhaps helped to take heavy music to an entirely new dimension.

Ozzy’s third-best album could be considered to be his ‘No More Tears’ release in 1991. It was arguably one of the last greatest albums of the metal era before music started to shift towards the grunge era. It was his sixth album and featured a number of memorable tracks and bass lines. It also featured Motorhead’s Lemmy Kilmister as he provided lyrics on songs such as on “Desire” and “Hellraiser”. ‘The Ultimate Sin’ - released in 1986 - and ‘No Rest for the World’ (1988) can be considered fourth and fifth in the list, respectively, as both featured hits that had an influence on the music world and helped to continue to define who Ozzy Osbourne was during this stage of his career.

However, while he is widely recognized for his contribution to music, there is no denying that he has had a greater impact across the world in a variety of other ways. Ozzy would go on to become a TV personality with the help of his crazy family, although he was just as successful beforehand as a solo artist.

The Englishman managed to gain wider fame with younger generations with his TV appearances. He and his family had a reality show called The Osbournes that was a huge success in the early 00s when aired on MTV, with a total of four seasons being produced. In fact, it was such a hit, it was commissioned to make a return back in 2022 as they looked to follow the family while they were back in the UK.
