It’s All The Same
Chris Ryan
Move on past these autumn lights
To see something I could never find
In you at least not this time
Step back keep looking for the signs
That lead you from the trappings of your life
To change the outlook from those eyes
I hear that sunset call my name
It’s like I’m always running from the blame
I gotta chase that light between the mountains and the night sky
To walk away, it’s all the same
Hollow, swallow all my pride
My life, so much time, I’m tired
Of drawing circles in my mind
I know, you can make this right
Release the hurt, the pain inside
Of you, maybe this time
I hear that sunset call my name
It’s like I’m always running from the blame
I gotta chase that light between the mountains and the night sky
To walk away, it’s all the same
Shake off the dust from this ol life
Call back the one who really loves to shine
Relax and things will be just fine
