I was standing in the middle of the planet.
I was wondering who ran it.
When suddenly the sky turned red
And a voice above me said,"
Ayamba yayahu
In this world there's nothing new
Umayim koyahey
It's just another day
I was standing under an awning.
When a cricket started yawning
He said, be sure and have your fill
'cause if you don't, the whippoorwill
Ayamba yayahu
In this world there's nothing new
Umayim koyahey
It's just another day
I was flipping through the wall street journal
The headline read "hope springs eternal"
But in the margin it said, "beware!
Of raging bulls and dancing bears."
Ayamba yayahu
In this world there's nothing new
Umayim koyahey
It's just another dayayamba yayahu¡
I was talking to a babbling brook.
When the ground beneath me shook.
And as the rain began to pour.
I wondered, what on earth's the metaphor?
Ayamba yayahu
In this world there's nothing new
Umayim koyahey
It's just another day
I was standing in the middle of the street.
I was standing on my feet.
When suddenly the light turned red.
And a kind policeman said, "
Ayamba yayahu
In this world there's nothing new
Umayim koyahey
It's just another day
