In the reflection of the window as it rained I traced
outline of your face.
It wiped away.
I wondered why I couldn't be one of those drops.
Even though I know how hard they fall when I dream of a
February verse.
In the reflection of the lake fighting off the breeze
I let the tide pull me in and just laid there.
I wondered how surface tension could still hold me up.
Even though I know how heavy my heart can be when I dream
Of just floating away from short days and longer nights
away.
