Stories from the Garden
You were guarded you were empty
I held my position then I found you weren't with me
I was down like forever
Then winter it came
And turned all our growth into frost
How'd you leave me
Here to bloom all on my own
Didn't know you were so cold
Didn't know you'd do me wrong
Winter warrior I stood out in the freezing cold
Tried to keep us warm, but I was trying on my own
Now I'm hurting
Cause the winds they swept right by
Winter warrior yeah you left me out to die
You left mе out to die
Don't know how I survived
If you told me
That you wеre leaving
I would be ready I would be warm
But how you did it
So cold hearted
Says a lot about you
I hate that about you
Why'd you leave me
Here to bloom all on my own
But now that I know I can
Guess I thank you for the storm
In the cold of the winter
From the dirt I kept on growing
All my seeds turned into flowers
And it's all without you knowing
Now it's on to better days
Keep my face up towards the sun
So much better off without you
So thank you God to chose to run
