I’ve been asked to wash
All these wrinkles out
And to stand up tall
To reach other heights
I just want to grow old
See the time passing by as I crawl
Through the forests of my mind
Where you feel so blind
You can’t cope
I’m not afraid of the bright white light
That will encompass you soon
Will my spirit connect to the half of
where my body is sewn?
I just want to grow old growing wise
I just want to grow old losing time
I’ve been asked to shut
Eyes, third eye and mouth
I can barely talk
Or cry out at night
I just want to grow old
See the time passing by as I crawl
Through the forests of my mind
Where you feel so blind
You can’t cope
I’m not afraid of the bright white light
That will encompass you soon
Will my spirit connect to the half of
where my body is sewn?
I just want to grow old growing wise
I just want to grow old losing time
If I’m asked to keep still, what a fright!
Like a phoenix from ashes I’ll rise
