L.A. IN THE SUNSHINE
WRITERS DAVID BRIGGS, GLENN SHORROCK
L.A. in the sunshine, or it's Denver and we're snowblind, all the palm trees on the skyline, it's a good day, it's a good time. Getting into all that I have seen, getting off on everywhere I've been. What a shame down on the jetstreet, that we fell for the old country, not impressed, man, we got ripped off, when we need next, they'll see the next star. I don't know how, I've made it this far, it seems like years, I've lost track of time, what can I say, when you smile and say ... "Can we make it ? or you'll fake it, what you say now, can we make it ?" Getting into all that I have seen, getting off on everywhere I've been. Now I'm playin' ping pong, on a pub flight, drinkin' Champagne til after midnight, oh, we flew high on a sweet dream, happy landings, baby, where have you been ? I've been getting into all that I have seen, getting off on everywhere I've been. Back to L.A. in the sunshine, after Denver when we got snowblind, all the palm trees on the skyline, she said, "Have a good day, make sure you'll have a good time." (Have a good time ...)
