Tranquility was shattered and fearlessness did fly
Alone I was left with but a corpse by my side
complacence and carelessness were cursed
Remembering this scene of which I was well versed.
Shapeshifter assuming a form
Of that which I knew nigh I was born.
Beaconing, beaconing the shape-thing did
I screamed as the scene from my grasp slid.
Realizing my forgottence of such a scene past
It did vividly return as twice lightening blast
As I again recalled my inadequacy
To defeat that which in truth perused me.
My weakness exposed and as it would many men
Struck fear, nay terror soul-bound within
Once again I was shown my insignificance
When attempting to save those souls from the beast.
