I love the moon
Call me a lunatic
Some may take it for Granite but don't be rude to it
It's made from tons of rocks
Not just one but lots
But from down under not so many want to love that dot
Its just a spot in the sky, and to my surprise
No one understands the sky's disguise and never asks why
But for me, it's a sign
And I'll keep surviving
Cause that speck's reflection says a tomorrow's on the horizon
I walk the moon
Up in space flight
Thrust in my orbit, you're my only natural satellite
When we're intertwined, together pulled, but free to move
Then this synchronicity is a degree of proof
If what I feel is true, I'm head over heels for you
Bending over backwards just to make that phrase feel real to you
Crescent, blue, harvest, new, any lunar hue will do
I'll bring out the bright side in you just like the sun does to the moon
I'm
A lunatic for you
The darker you may feel
I'm more exuberant for you
And if you tried out lyin' I would be a maniac for you
We keep spending time and I'm becoming more coo-coo for you
We keep getting tighter but it's like my screws are loose for you
Bring out the bright side in you just like the sun does to the moon
I never knew
The way the sun diffuses
Lending light to the evolution of other humans
Shining differently depending on which side you're on
One day you might be right; one day you might be wrong
But life goes on, and the world revolves around our choosing
We may both think we're crazy, but even the Earth is loopy
We can be two birds of a feather with some fine tuning
Flying towards the light, but still a little loony
I'm
A lunatic for you
The darker you may feel
I'm more exuberant for you
And if you tried out lyin' I would be a maniac for you
We keep spending time and I'm becoming more coo-coo for you
We keep learning every day but I'd still be a fool for you
Bring out the bright side in you just like the sun does to the moon
Look to the moon for the reflection of a new tomorrow
Evidence has never been this clear that we're not hollow
One among the stars they gaze with their joys and sorrows
Reminiscent of the ways we gather, share, and borrow
I am starstruck, you are so bright
To your radiance, I couldn't hope to hold a light
I just know the sun will show me how to hold you tight
When the moon grows old enough to send us home at night
