Oh oh the bells
Oh oh the bells
Oh oh the bells
Oh oh the bells
The bells at my wedding will ring with joy
Sending their love to each girl and boy
Oh oh the bells, they will ring for me
Oh oh the bells, they'll ring a sweet song,
Just for my bride
Showing my love and the ties that bind
Oh oh the bells, they will ring for me
The church steeple will gather no dust
Or let our hearts grow cold
Oh the church steeple, it will gather no dust
Even when lovers are old
I wanna get married
The bells at my wedding will be heard in the skies
Even the angels will open their eyes
Oh oh the bells, they will ring for me
The bells at my wedding will be heard in the skies
Even the angels will open their eyes
Oh oh the bells, they will ring for me
Oh oh the bells
I know, I know, I wanna hear that ringing
Oh oh the bells
I know, I know, I'd like to hear them ringing
Oh oh the bells ….. fade
Grew up in Jamaica as a teenager enthralled with Paul Anka - the wonder boy from Ottawa, Canada. so much so I used to imitate his singing style, and later on migrated to Toronto in the fall of 1971.
My voice has "matured' since then so no longer can sing in the same pitch (:)
However, still revert to this song at weddings. So natural to be once again listen in, as our 'baby' daughter, Nicole, accepted an engagement ring this past Thursday from a very nice gentleman, Daryl Pinsdorf!
Would love to hear this song played at their Engagement Party or at their wedding!
