[Intro: Payroll Giovanni]
If you familiar with the whole Doughboyz Cashout movement
Then, you know about the song, “Scales in Da Kitchen”
Now, that was our first video
Hella controversy, you know I'm sayin'?
This a lil story behind that whole shit, based on a true story
4-1
[Verse 1: Payroll Giovanni]
One day, I'm sittin' in the kitchen baggin' up (Yuh)
Weighin' work and on my calculator addin' up (Yeah)
Pistols on the table, a small scale and a big one
Sandwich bags of pay, full of work and drug incomes (Stacks)
It's all on the table, I'm gettin' bags off
Then, into the kitchen comes in my grandma (What's up, Granny?)
She said, “This look like a video scene”
I laughed, then I got a idea like, bing!
At the time, we was droppin' music but ain't have no visuals
This was right before all the music went digital (Yeah)
The real knew, but I guess the other fans didn't
Had the nerve to say we lyin', we ain't livin' what we spittin'
The audacity! Don't confuse niggas with these lames
Called HB and Maine, where y'all at? Let's by some chains (Ayy, let's get some change)
We about to show niggas shit's real
Ain't give a f*ck ‘bout a deal, we already got Skrill
[Interlude: BMO Maine]
Dawg, chill
You know that's out of our character
You know we don't do that shit
We ain't got shit to prove to niggas
But shit, if you wanna do it, let's do it
I done made a thousand dollars straight, and I'm on day forty-two
Let's get it
[Verse 2: Payroll Giovanni]
We shot the video, then the premiere
Everybody talkin', it's in every nigga ear (“Man, you seen that Doughboyz video?”)
OG's talkin', said I was trippin'
And off that video, we goin' straight to prison (“You niggas' goin' down”)
Then, I get a call from a number
That I never seen, it was the middle of the summer (Who's this?)
I said hello, the voice said, “You goin' off
But that video might f*ck you up later, young dawg”
I said who this? He said he don't say his name
On cellphones, “Just listen close, you'll peep it, Pay”
It was Street Lord Juan, Baby Pablo (Free Juan)
He started givin' me game the whole convo
Years past, I'm still music-makin'
Then, the same house from the video got raided (Damn!)
It was strange, some shit we've never seen
They hit the crib lookin' for dog food and ki's (“Where's the crack and heroine?”)
Found some weed and a couple straps
Nothin' major, just a couple stacks
My people got snatched, they told him to tell
He said he didn't know shit, so they took him to jail
Made bail, now he got him a case
Where this shit came from, we don't know to this day
My people goin' to court, it seem weekly
Keepin' me updated with it every time he see me
Then, out the blue, all his charges got dropped
All due to some dirty raids by some crooked cops
A big indictment hit the whole taskforce
They was robbin' drug dealers, and some they would extort
Was on the news, it couldn't get bigger
That was God lookin' out for good niggas (Thank God)
Lesson learned: don't ever go up out your way
To prove who you is and who you ain't, f*ck what niggas say!
[Outro: Payroll Giovanni]
Ayy, man, no more videos with stacks and guns in it, dawg
I ain't got time for this dumb shit
Put some lil kids in the next video
Some blue skies with trees and shit
Don't record me next to no known drug dealers
No gang members, none of that shit
Matter of fact, we ‘bout to change all this shit up
We wearin' suits and ties
We ‘bout to look like legitimate businessmen
We ain't carryin' ourselves like that no more
I'm losin' money and all this bullshit
I'm seein' vans on the corner, what the f*ck is that?
Ain't that much Comcast in the f*ckin' world!
They been installin' cable all week?
Nah, man, that's a surveillance van, man
Come, man, this some bullshit shit, this goofy ass rap shit
Yeah, f*ck that, dawg
