What if it makes you sad at me?
And what if it makes you laugh now
But you cry as you fall asleep?
And what if it takes your breath
And you can hardly breathe?
And what if it makes the last sound
Be the very best sound?
What if what I want makes you sad at me?
Is it all my fault or can I fix it, please? Oh
'Cause you know that I'm always all for you
'Cause you know that I'm always all for you
And what if it makes you lose faith in me?
And what if it makes you question
Every moment you can not see?
And what if it makes you crash
and you can't find the key?
And what if it makes you ask
How you could let it all go?
What if what I want makes you sad at me?
Is it all my fault or can I fix it, please? Oh
'Cause you know that I'm always all for you
'Cause you know that I'm always all for
I'm always all for you
And if this be our last conversation
If this be the last time we speak for a while
Don't lose hope and don't let go
'Cause you should know
If it makes you sad, If it makes you sad at me
Then it's all my fault and let me fix it please
'Cause you know that I'm always all for you
'Cause you know that I'm always all for you
What if what I want makes you sad at me?
And if it's all my fault then let me fix it, please?
'Cause you know that I'm always all for you
'Cause you know that i"m always all for
I'm always, I am all for you
Obviously, my scenario would be far different than that of the reader. And my interpretation is extremely situational, but there is someone I work with who is going through a rough patch. I try to be there as a friend, she doesn't have anyone else to turn to and recently broke up with her boyfriend. To me, this song is about wanting to be friends, yes, I know, I friend zoned a girl. Get over it. It happens. But my decision makes her sad, it seems to pile on to her hard times, she wonders if things will spiral out of control while I am trying to tell her ill be here as a friend to do anything I can to help her through this.
What I actually think made the band come up with this song was the nature of the music industry. the traveling, the time spent away from family and friends, the countless hours it takes to put together good music, to develop your band, to stay fresh. Their desire to be more than just a local band somewhere. What they want is to share their music and their message with the world. They want to be famous, and whether we believe it or not, a lot of hard work goes into fame. It doesn't just happen because people are lucky spoiled little brats.
