Big furry green
Monster unseen
Climbs up the hill
Then, down
Eats all the cow
Horse and the plough
Looks at the treats
Around
Big furry green
Monster quite mean
Begins the day
Alone
Thinks in his mind
There was a time
When everything
Was fine
Now can you see
No one but me
To do the monster
Things
Ate all the trees
Grass and the leaves
And then he says
"Why am I the only
So sad and lonely,
Once I adored you,
Now I ignore you."
Big furry green
Monster quite clean
Reaches the cliff
Twilight
Something inside
Doesn't feel right
Then all the fear
Subsides
Makes up his mind
Now is the time
To be-a-leaving
Home
Opens his wings
Leaps with a spring
And then he whispers
"Why am I the only,
So sad and lonely,
Once I adored you,
Now I ignore you.
Why am I the only,
So sad and lonely,
Once I adored you,
Now I ignore you."
