I'm not a very religious person, so when my friend sent me this song, to be honest, I rolled my eyes, but I still listened to it because I was a little curious. When it started playing, I was very surprised by the lyrics. By the middle of the song, some bad memories had resurfaced and I began to cry. Actually I pretty much cried like a baby. It's a beautiful song and the meaning behind it is just, well heart-wrenching. It's terribly sad, but is amazing.

It really help me think about if i want to be with my real family or my foster family and I my self am a abused child thanks for inspiring this song to me and everyone else that thinks about how they should've treated. Hope everyone helps other abused children love yes yet not spreader out from your loving or big bad parents or your guardian so spread as much love as you can to your child while there in your life don't waste your time abusing a child love a child and they will love u back

this song is very true, but its not just physical abuse that is a problem it is also sexual abuse and emotional. that has the same effect mentally
