Barry Andrew Hay (born Fizabad, India, 16 August 1948) is the lead singer and frontman of the internationally most succesful band to come out of The Netherlands, Golden Earring, but he also released three albums under his own name. Hay was born in India and currently lives on the island of Curaçao (Netherlands Antilles), but is a Dutchman. Hay was recruited as the new singer of The Golden Earrings (as Golden Earring was then named) in 1967, after brief stints with The Hague beat groups, Don't and The Haigs.
