Originally from Massachusetts and currently based in New York City, Billy Simons trades in a modern pop amalgam of songcraft, humor and soul (and occasional beatboxing). His high-energy solo acoustic shows in New York's clubs and bars have drawn a devoted regular following, leading to appearances at larger venues, opening for the likes of (frequent Dave Matthews collaborator) Tim Reynolds and Pure Prairie League.
