Born and raised in Montreal’s Little Burgundy neighborhood, home of legendary greats Oscar Peterson and Oliver Jones, Datdude has always had music running through his veins. His father was a singer/guitarist in a reggae band and his mother filled their apartment with the sounds of R&B.In DatDude’s late teens he enrolled in a sound engineering course, giving him the skills to produce the music he always wanted to make. Coming from humble beginnings, DatDude spent five years in the field in order to better his position in life. Not long after, DatDude was hired to run an indie record label as a producer / manager / writer.
