Hurts to Purr, the now-defunct Austin, Texas trio, was formed in 2003 by Liz Pappademas, Tom Benton and Jeremy Bruch. They released a full-length self-titled album in 2005. Producer Kevin Ryan and the band flew to Los Angeles to mix the record with Brian Kehew and earned a slot on NPR's All Songs Considered Open Mic program, but the band parted ways in January of 2006 citing diverging future plans as the cause for the split.... read more
