Being the grandson of a jazz musician, music was always that irregular pulse in Benjamin ‘Lazurus’ Curtis’s heartbeat. Being exposed to such a plethora of music genres at such and early age instilled an appreciation for the art form. He began writing stories and poetry as a positive alternative release of internally contained frustrations, caused by various hardships he experienced growing up including being pronounced dead for 14 minutes as a child before being revived.
