Raymond Coats of The Coats Singers initially began singing in the backyard of his home in the summer of 1967, and performing for local churches in the San Francisco bay area shortly thereafter. Raymond has performed for such dignitaries as the Honorable Willie Brown, Mayor of San Francisco, and Danny Glover, performer extraordinaire.
