Los Angeles-based alternative rock band
Skycycle was led by singer/songwriter Steve Isaacs. He formed
Skycycle (so named in honor of the two-wheeled rocket in which Evel Knievel attempted to jump the Snake River Canyon in 1974) with guitarist Sven Shenar, bassist Kelly Castro and drummer Rob Brown.
Skycycle released a self-produced demo tape named Siren in 1997. This successfully got them signed to MCA Records, leading up to the issuing of
Skycycle's debut EP, "Breathing Water" one year later.
